To get to the chat room via the web client, simply go to chat.efnet.org
Choose your username/nickname, and change the channel to "other" and type in #texmurphy

However if you'd like to connect by the mirc program, which I'd recommend as you shouldn't have many problems with connection errors, simple download mirc from http://www.mirc.com.au

One your ready to go, on the "servers" option tab, you need to select Efnet to connect to. Once you hit connect and it does its thing (can take a minute or two to connect) it will ask you what channel to join. Type #texmurphy and you should be there. If it doesn't ask for what channel to join, type /join #texmurphy and press enter.

If anyone has any issues setting it up etc or has any questions, please don't hesitate to post them here, and I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, for IRC I like to use Seamonkey. It's Firefox's cousin, and is a browser with an HTML editor, email, IRC, and other stuff.

Should we start thinking of some questions, or are we just going to let it be free flow? I'm not sure how the last ones worked.

Ouch 3am. Yeah pretty late but will make the effort. I guess that does mean that others from the UK and Europe (not on here but on the Kickstarter) won't be joining though.

Are they going to announce it on the Kickstarter? maybe after a short quiet pre-chat with UTM members? I think it'd be good as people say other Kickstarters did livechats which boosted pppularity.

How long will the chat session last? I usually get up around 5 (Europe/Berlin time), will it be over by then?

I'm unsure if they are going to announce the chat via kickstarter.

As for how long the chat will go for, that's totally up to how long they feel like chatting with us! Previous chats have gone for an hour or two. Plus there's always alot of excitement and hype after the previous chats and we all stick around chatting etc.

3 am on a work night?!? Yikes. I'll try. I have been to the chat room a few times but never seen anyone else chatting there. Either wrong time of day or browser no likey.

Daaaamn, I'll probably miss it It'll be June 1st 2am here, and I gotta get up early in the morning. I'll try to have my work hours shifted to the afternoon.
About the tech details, I'd like to use mIRC (I hate browser-based IRC clients): EFNet server and #texmurphy channel, right?
