350 down, only 100k to go.

I gotta say, I was worried at first but with only 100k left and 11 and a half days to go I'm pretty sure now that we've made it. The real question now is HOW well will we make it. I'm hoping for a last 3 days to rival the first 3.

Joliet_Jane you can stop being so worried now methinks. Sure we can't let our guard down but I'm pretty sure we got this one in the bag. YAY!
We still have 12 days and change.

I predict by this time next week, Tex will have escaped from his captors, we'll be celebrating, and Chris and Aaron will be rolling out the stretch goals.

E3 could potentially slow us up a little, but I sort of doubt it.

Look at it this way: Every game Kickstarter pulls in a bunch of money in it's last three days. As an example, Jane Jensen pulled in over $60K. If we only need another $40K by June 12th, this is going to be simple. And let's face it, we're going to bring in more than another $40K by June 12th. I'm predicting this will go to $500K or higher.

And we've been way, way outpacing Jane Jensen's Kickstarter, so hers is really a pessimistic example anyway. Republique did about $250,000 in its last three days (because it needed that much to make it).

There is almost no chance of this failing at this point. It's in the bag.
I see what Agatha Christie meant when she said, "the thrill is in the chase, never the capture." The previous few weeks of this campaign have been nail biting and not for a second has it been boring. When all is said and done, I have a feeling i'm going to miss this particular era of UTM.
welcome to the 350 club

Agreed, I will certainly miss this thrill, but hopefully following the game's development will fill in that loss.

I'm starting to think that we could be 100k over the goal and Joliet_Jane would still be panicked that everyone would suddenly pull out all their money. :P
we don't need negative people only positive ones's

The $15 access to the forum during development does sound interesting, hopefully no spoilers will be revealed though. Maybe like DoubleFine they should have a Spoiler and Non Spoiller section for updates and news.

The same feeling occurred to me today. This is the most action we've seen since the Radio Theater, but in a much more condensed period of time. It has also allowed a few people to shine, and has brought the community together that much more.

Once we've all popped the champagne cork, I will certainly miss the thrill of it all.

That is until another Kickstarter Project is launched to help fund the Fedora sequel ;)
Well. Then we await the production of the game. And view the behind-the-scenes stuff that'll no doubt appear. And then.

Then.

We get to play a new Tex Murphy adventure.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Actually I wonder if the DLC will include additional cases, kind of like LA NOIRE are currently doing. That would be awesome.
