I am sure some of you would have remembered by poll of mine a little while back asking whether or not the users here had surround sound capabilities on their PC or Hi-Fi system. Well here's why!
Allow me to introduce to you: 'As We Know It'!
It's a short (~ 7:10 mins) Radio Threate I worked on with 2 other friends, created using 5.1 Surround Sound and encoded with Windows Media Audio 9 Surround! It was recorded in a professional sound studio, using ProTools TDM. We spent a few solid weeks on creating this short radio play for the University and I have now gotten around to hosting it for all of you to hear!
The story follows a blind woman as she finds her way around the last few hours of life on Earth after the Solar System's nearest star has collpased into a Black Hole. The voice overs were done by fellow Uni students (so don't expect any Hollywood performances)... but I do assure you can expect Hollywood production values! I had always wanted to do something in 5.1 since Lombard St, so this is it.
Whilst this is like a pilot for 5.1 surround sound radio theate, I hope to take advantage of the medium in the near future and provide some amazing entertainment!
In the meantime, enjoy this short little radio play. For those of you who don't have surround sound on you PC, you need not worry. It was specifically encoded to downmix to Stereo upon detection of 2-channel systems! Mind you, 5.1 is a real treat if you have it!

Realy freaky sounds
even though i only have my soundblaster live 1024 with cambridge 4.1 speakers i realy loved it.
