Books and games

I didn't read Aaron Conners novels "Under a Killing Moon" and "The Pandora Directive". My English is too rusty. Please, tell me what differences between the books and games.
Thanks in advance.
Truly yours,
Alexander.

Well, Alex...

The Pandora Directive novel is pretty much the same as the game in terms of storyline. There are a few differences though, for example: 'Lucia Pernel' from the game is a man called 'Lucas Pernel' in the novel. Roswell is fairly different and I think a bit scarier in the novel. Also, the circumstances in which you meet Witt are much more interesting. That's pretty much the major differences without going into any further detail (that would rove to be very time consuming).

The Under a Killing Moon novel is an entirely different kettle of fish... the storyline is almost completely different to the game. I found the book much more cinematic. Even though the events and goals in the novel are similar to the game, the novel goes about things from a completely different angle. A very nice read for those who have played the game as it provides you with (in my opinion) are more action packed adventure... kind of like what they would have done if Under a Killing Moon was a Hollywood movie.

That's pretty much a summary on the two books and how they shape up against the games. If you could understand the games Alex I am sure you won’t have any trouble understanding the novels. Give them a try, you will like them. I am sure Jim has some PDF copies floating around.

A good idea would be to make UAKM and PANDORA novels into Audio Books, Having Aaron Conners or Chris Jones reading it thru. That would be very cool.. what do u guys think about that idea?
I like that idea, Grisget. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Hmmm.....I always thought the difference between the games and the books was this: You have to play the games and read the books.

Sorry....I just couldn't resist that note of stupidity. After all, it is Monday.

Well Grisget, here's three things:

1. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

2. The good news: The Pandora Directive is available in an Audio Book! Read by one of our very own members, Demonlawyer!

3. The bad news: SOMEBODY still needs to get off their arse and master it like he promised to do AGES ago. That somebody being... me.

Fingers croseed though, in light of the recent suggestions about another Tex comp, I will almost definitely have it done in time so we can use it as a prize (thus also enabling it to be offered to those who nominated it as a prize during that last competition... double:  )

Wasn't there also a plan to make the 'audio book' one of the prizes in one of our contests? Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be a cool prize...
