URU Live Lives!!
Hi all,
I've mentioned URU a few times in here before, and I know there are a few of you who, like me, have been visiting the D'ni cavern via "Until URU." URU, for those that don't know, is an installment in the MYST series that was designed as an onilne, multi-player experience. Due to numerous circumstances, it didn't take off as hoped, and the online aspect was cancelled soon after launching.
A dedicated contingent of fans, along with Cyan Worlds, has kept URU alive in the form of "Until URU," which is basically the original vision of "URU Live" (as the online game was called), but without new content or updates.
However, Cyan Worlds, along with their dedicated URU community, and with new financial backing from GameTap, has just announced the RETURN of URU Live! Visit http://www.urulive.com for the details!!
I mention URU not only as a huge fan of the MYST series myself, but as an example of what a community of fans can accomplish simply by being dedicated, and having a good relationship with the creators of their obsession. Which, around here, sounds awfully familiar!
Who knows what might happen if we continue to "Keep the Faith!!"...
In the meantime, keep a lookout for URU Live later this year. And if you want to get a head start, find a copy of URU, and head to http://plasma.cyanworlds.com to join "Until URU!"
Now back to your regular programming.
[EDIT]: If you're having trouble getting to the Uru Live site, it is due to the fact that Cyan's web server is experiencing EXTREME numbers of visitors at the moment. Keep trying, and you'll get there eventually.

Horay! Yeah, I read about it. I am so pumped. I am considering subscribing to GameTap now. This is so cool. And your right James, if fans come together, they can acomplish their goals. I'm excited. Anywho, I'll see you all in the caverns (hopfuly). Later.
