The last word I got from him was that he had been, understandably, occupied with finding a new job. He sounded confident, though, that it wouldn't pose much of a problem. In the meantime, he's going to be at E3 this week, and then will be back in touch sometime after that.

I don't know 100% for sure, but I don't think it's Take Two... don't quote me on that, though.

It varies. It has gone from anywhere between six months, to daily. Just depends on the latest rumors floating around. It's not on any sort of pre-ordained regular basis.

That's a class I'd love to take. It's good to see Aaron's name out there with everything else that's going on.

I would like to expound a little bit, regarding the quote in the first post:

I have taken this philosophy to heart in the last couple of years. Way back (30 years ago) when I was an undergraduate, I had to put many of my ideas aside because I was too busy doing school work. I looked forward to finishing school so that I could finally work on *my* stuff.

Of course, it never happens. You go to graduate school and work on your advisor's project. You graduate and do your post-doc work for some other guy. You get a 'real' job - again, working to realize someone else's dreams. You even start your own company, only to find that people will only pay you for reasearch *they* are interested in.

Now, I'm already nearly as old as JTOG. I don't want my last thoughts to be "Why didn't I ever work on *my* stuff?" So I finally said "Screw it." And for the last year and a half, I've rejected all work (ok, I've taken a couple of small projects here and there - a guy has to eat, you know.) But I've essentially been without income and living off savings for almost two years. just so that I can work on *my* projects. Hopefully, they will pay off in the end. There are no guarantees, and few people will take this kind of risk. But I'm proud of what I'm doing and I'm having a blast. Succeed or fail, at least I gave it a shot.

So I say to Aaron: Pursue you dream. Screw security.

Well, DrPaul, You just got a full whistling, cheering, standing ovation from me. You have my heartiest wishes for success. Don't spend the end of your life with regrets and what if's. And if you don't reach the full measure of success you wanted, at least you can say you tried. That takes courage.

You've got my support, DrPaul, 100%. I just graduated and I'm about to enter graduate school...I've been so afraid of ending up in that vicious cycle you just described, but I'm trying my best not to....just never give up on your dream, keep envisioning it - and try to imagine the steps that will bring you to that dream, follow them - and one day you won't have to envision your dream anymore...
