How I spent my summer vacation. A couple turned out pretty nice. I hope you like them.

The slide show is up.
A virtual Hawaii awaits you.
Going back to a thread started earlier...you know it's summer when.....
...I bought my dream car...a little white Miata convertible this afternoon. Tan leather interior, only 22k miles on it.
Bittersweet thing is, as I was going into work tonight, feeling excited about the week I had and the prospect of an awesome summer, I saw a note on the desk. A burial service for a client of ours. She hadn't been mine, but her and her sister had come in often, and they were always fun and brought a smile.
Life is short.
It smacked me between the eyes tonight.
Night...

It's funny how the older members of our group (the good Dr. and myself) had the same evil thought.
I really enjoyed the slide show, Jen. Diane and I spent a wonderful week on Oahu back if '76 (that's 1976 for all you smart alecs).

Ahh, 1976... Seems so long ago.
Wait. It is. And I wasn't even BORN yet. Oh well...
And here's me thinking it was 1776! You know Jim was there when they signed the constitution of the United States?

One of the few living survivors of those days.
I kid, I kid
Jim spent 1776 in Canada.

I'm going to try to answer everyone in one post....so here goes.
1st...thanks to all of your kind words. It was a ton of fun...I tried to do something special each day.
btw why where those peeps next to u wearing a helmet or was it u with the helmet on.
Good eyes Michel

it is myself and my "peep" in the rain gear. We biked down the Maui volcano. It started with a 1:30 am wakeup, 2:15 meet in the hotel lobby and a long winding trek up the mountain to watch the sunrise (Where I took WAY too many pics..gotta love digital SLR's)
After watching the sunrise, we climbed aboard bikes and went 32 odd miles down the mountain. The rain gear (and 4 layers of clothing) were for the wind/rain/biking through clouds on the way down. It got a might chilly.
Heeeeey... You didn't REALLY go to Hawaii did you?
The photographer is never in any of the shots. I already broke my tripod.
How long was the flight?
We were lucky enough to get a direct Seattle/Maui flight. So 6 hours. But on the way there we were on a full plane with 85 yes 85 8th graders going on a field trip, so the flight over was ANYTHING but peaceful.
Yeah but, where are all the bikini pics?
Thank you Fred for trying to bring a little humor to the situation...your comment kept me from REALLY flying off the handle.
Dr.Paul... (and others)...you really should put some sort of haha just kidding after saying stuff like that. Or better yet, don't say it at all. I will remind everyone that I am a intelligent, mature human being....not a sexual object or plaything for
ANYONE'S entertainment or amusement. It's a hot button....so don't even look like you're going to push it.
Deal???
That out of the way.... nice avatar Jim and Cub... the hat is the clincher. It's nice to see a few more "real" faces behind the names on the board.
Alas, I look like a goofball in anything but a baseball cap...so my current avatar stays. (Don't try anything funny Fred.... seriously)
Cheers!
Jen
