Pretty cool stuff. From the looks of it, the drawings must be viewed from a particular vantage point. There are a couple of things about technique that I wonder about.

Does he set up a veiwer at some fixed spot for a reference? Does he do a small version of the drawing on glass, set it up at the vantage point, and then mark off various points on the sidewalk by following rays?

That's what I would do, anyway. But maybe he is good enough to not need these aids.
