Unofficial Tex Murphy

First of all...I love the fact that there are many fans of tex murphy out there willing to help and support each other, well done all of you

and now onto my first post...

I have the cd version of Tex Murphy Overseer and it works fine on my 98 laptop BUT i doesnt have any midi devices so...I wanted to play it on my computer which is XP And i have installed it with the 95 compatability, the game loads up fine and so does the intro with chelsea But once im in tex's office The mouse has some graphical errors and when i go to any of the side menus it also does it...

I believe it is issues with Catalyst Control for my ati card, but im not sure how to fix it.

If anyone has any ideas on what i should do it would be very much aprechated

Open Tex.ini in your overseer directory and change lockvideo=-1 to
lockvideo=1. That should solve the problem. But if not then let us know - I'm sure we can find a solution.

aha! Yes! we have work!! Graphics are fixed but i think there is now a problem with the midi...Hmm i know my computer does have midi but for some reason its not working...

Any suggestions?

IIRC Overseer uses MCI MIDI which isn't supported on XP - don't think there's a workaround
