"Cop's worst nightmare" by TOG. Comments?
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
Unless I'm seeing it wrong, here's the obvious one:

Police line: Donut cross!

:P
You want me to do this project? Well, here's the way it works:
Cheap, good, fast. Pick any two.

"Police were about to dust for prints, when they realised there was already enough frosting as it is"

"Claims that the victim had been shot through the stomach were discarded when forensic experts deducted that the hole had always been there"

"An autopsy concluded: '4/5 The jelly is a bit thick but overall this is top of its class'"

"Police officials later announced that the body had regretfully disappeared, questions regarding the tone of sarcasm in the word 'regretfully' were dismissed"

"...we now have confirmed reports that police on the scene can confirm that eye-witnesses have indeed seen a suspect flee the scene. The perpetrator was an unidentified yellow male with a huge gut and a signature laugh. Suspect is balding, and has to stop every ten feet to catch his breath, and, witnesses state, he fled in a beat-up, rusty, pink vehicle. More on this later! Now sports!"

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
"The police agreed this was no easy task and so they called on the assistance of the sniffer bagles".

I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.

Interesting you should put it like that. Just yesterday I was very close to buying the DVD of The Lady From Sockholm. I didn't because of the shipping costs.

That looks great. I'll have to try and see that someday.
I remember a short or something done with socks, something about a society of socks, but in a more gritty way I think. It was really interesting but I've never been able to find out what it was called....

Jim, the first time I saw this, I thought it was some guy in a white t-shirt who'd had his head cut off. I was a bit perplexed, because I didn't remember you being that crass. Then I read this thread. Now I feel stupid.

Tex - "Was the picture of me flattering at least?"
Lucia - "Is that even possible?"
No need to feel that way, RM. Imagine how I feel putting such an avatar on this board!!

Every couple of weeks I change my avatar and ask for captions. I tell you, the answers I get are hilarious! Problem is, once I change it it changes for all posted messages, even those I have listed as my new avatar. So, if you went back and read some of those, they wouldn't make any sense.

Personally, I'm just glad you don't like pictures of decapitated people. :-D

"The Commissioner vowed to bring the perpetrator of this most heinous crime to justice. A $500,000 reward is offered for any information leading to the arrest of this deranged individual."
RandomManA, you're not alone. I was a bit disturbed at first when I saw it too. It reminded me of the scene in gabriel Knight 2 where they're inspecting some dead body in an alley if I remember right. But actually due to the roundness, I thought it was the rear end of a horse collapsed/dead in an alleyway or something.... So I had to read this thread carefully and even then I wasn't exactly sure (but just hoped) I'd properly read what the thing is.
Certainly an interesting avatar. :D
