Thanksgiving
Hi all, I thought before the week got away from me, I would wish those of you celebrating Thanksgiving this week to have a safe and happy time. I'm totally thankful to James for keeping this board alive and to all of you for keeping the faith in Tex and for the chuckles and occasional words of wisdom
Best wishes to all.

We don't really celebrebrate thanksgiving here in Aus... but more and more American holidays are catching on... I guess we like the idea of having more excuses to go out and have fun and perhaps have a good meal.
I think becuase we have a couple of US born workmates here we will be doing something for thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving here in america is an old tradition and goes all the way back when the first settlers from europe came here, and feasted with the indians. As history goes, it says that about 100 europeans brought a whole bunch of shake and bake chicken on the boat with them, but it was all spoiled and soggy by the time they reached the shores of america. When they finally arrived the indians thought they were gods ascended on high to help them in their life. They slaughtered many a turkey to appease these gods. They also had stuffing. And cranberry sauce. And pumpkin pie. And cheesy poofs. And a big plate of M&Ms in the middle of the table. Afterwards everybody settled down to play a nice game of Xbox "Halo" (As Xbox360 was not even a gleam in an eye yet!)Ashton Kutcher and three indian squalls even "Punk'd" John Smith. It was a great beginning to a great american holiday. But then somebody spiked the punch bowl at the afterhours party, and "He-who-flatuates" got into a fight with Tom Jones, and it sparked the great indian war. They seriously tried calling in Al Pacino to settle things but it didn't do any good. True story.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
