Well, my wife babysits to help pay for expenses and she went to the store the other day and asked if I would watch the 10 month old. "Sure!", says I, "No promblemo!" Things got a little dicey so I decided to give the baby something we call a Redneck Time Out. What do you think?

"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
That game is in Takeshi's Castle, where they have to swing on a rope then let go and splat themselves against a wall and hopefully stay there (or fall into muddy water and get sprayed by white dust). Weird and wonderful Japanese gameshow.DrPaul wrote:Reminds me of that game where you wear a velcro suit and stick yourself to the wall.
It's at about 2 minutes into this:

Takeshi's castle?! I always thought that was called Most Extreme, or something. They show that Japanese gameshow here in the states on Spike TV, only they redub it in English. I'm pretty sure that they don't say the same things the people on the screen did. Which makes it that much more funny. (Oh god, it's hilarious)

It's shown on Challenge here in the UK and is called Takeshi's Castle (yeah I think that's the original title). They don't dub it here, instead they get Craig Charles (Dave Lister from Red Dwarf) to add commentary, he's pretty good
The American version, Most Extreme, is also shown at a different time slot on Challenge here. I've not yet seen it. I heard mixed opinions from UK viewers on the dubbed version, some didn't seem to really like some of the humour, others thought it was hilarious. It is supposed to be totally different to whats actually being said for comedy yeah. I need to see it for myself, but the time slot has never been convenient, I think dubbing it sounds fun. I love watching decent parody dubs and if you've ever seen Whose Line Is It Anyway, my favourite games are the dubbing ones like Film Dub and Sound Effects.

Well, MXC is basically like this.
The show usually opens up in some dojo, where the japanese announcers for the show are redubbed to say some funny stuff.
Then you go to a group shot of all the competitors, (Who usally have funny group names) and they all get redubbed to say funny stuff, then they all run down a hill.
Then from there basically it's a competition between the two teams doing outrageous and zany stunts for points, in an effort to try and beat the other team. Such activites are like the above stated fly on the wall, a game where you try to reach the top of a mountain area, while they're rolling these huge balls down the mountain in effort to stop you. A game where you get into a teacup, and they push you down a very steep cliff into water, and you try not to tip the cup over all the way down, or after the landing. A game where you try to run across a stone laden path over water, only, some of the stones sink, with disaterous results. It's really funny to me. Basically just a whole bunch of people getting pwned, and then one schmuck finally wins. It happens like that for almost every event. On MXC anyway.
