That's a Pulp Fiction-reference by the way...
So anyway, I thought I'd make up some games and share them with you, seeing as how a little activity is never a bad thing, and, y'know, it keeps the post-count flowing
But seriously (okay, not really) I had an idea reading another thread, and it evolved within the space of a few seconds cultivated in the weird and disturbing pewtrie-dish that is my mind. So, anyway... I read a post where Jim is giving Malloy some smileys, because on previous occasion Malloy mentioned jokingly and tongue-in-cheek that Jim's smileys drove him insane. And since then Jim keeps taunting him with the very same smileys. Which seems a bit... villainous. And what villain do we all know who's fond of smileys? Why, the Joker is fond of smileys
Which got me thinking. What Villain do we, the members here, identify ourselves with? I'm not talking comic books only, I'm talking movies, books, cartoons, comics, games, stories, anything fictional you can dredge up. 'Cuz we can't deny it - some villains are just too cool for school. Everybody loves a good villain
So tell me
WHAT VILLAIN... WOULD YOU BE IF YOU COULD?
-Fred
edit: ps... And why, of course

Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead
...so what's the prize? A kokosbolle? Yum! Thanks Fred!
Does Gollum count as a villain? If he does I would choose to be him - for five reasons. (1) I talk like him. (2) I have one evil and one sweet personality. (3) I dig sushi. (4) My skin has a tint of green. (5) I get what I want.

Magento, for sure. The relationship between Magento and Xavier is much like how I am with people whom I rival... I still respect them, but in the end my goal would be for self preservation. And the idea of being able to influence metallic object, that's just too amazing to comprehend.

I imagine mr_cyberpunk pronouncing 'eww' like Garth in Wayne's World when he finds condoms in Rob Lowe's chick-pad, and reads the box; "Ribbed...for
herpleasure...eeww"

Also, I think it's 'Magneto', not 'Magento', but I suppose little more can be expected from them backwards, upside-down and reversed
australians, if that's even a real place anyway...

Oooh, which villian would I be? That's a real thinker. I'd guess the obvious one would be Cartman, because hey ... anyone who grounds up a kid he doesn't like's parents into chili, and feeds it to him. THAT is not just villiany. That's total psychological dsyfunction. However, I swear that I'm not THAT bad. So, who do I relate with ...
I wanted to say Vince McMahon, because I admire his villiany ... but I need a villian I relate with ... hmm ... more thinking ...
Pizza the hut? You know because if I were locked in a limo, and *I* was made of pizza, I'd eat myself to death too ... nooo ... no
I guess a good one for me would be Keizer Soze. From the Usual Suspects. Why? Beause I'm really good at stirring up trouble, and blaming it on someone else, and stepping back as a spectator to the whole event, and playing the "cripple guy" as it were ... while the rest of the group, including myself tries to find the "Keizer Soze" amongst us who was responsible for the foul deed. This foul deed may be nothing more than "who took the last Mt. Dew out of the fridge" at my friends house, but hey ... anyone who likes Mt. Dew knows that it's a crime to take the last one if you didn't buy it. Not unless you're Keizer Soze ... I'm the Keizer Soze of the Mt. Dew world.
Either that or I'd be the borg from Star Trek. Because when I make new friends, nine times out of ten, I assimilate them into my likes and passions, instead of the other way around.
Good thread Fred. That was fun.

Well, Fred, I think you pegged me correctly - the Joker. IF I had to be a villain. My 2nd choice would be Darth Vader. Good guy goes bad to worse to good. Yeah, I like that. Besides, a name like Skywalker has to be the ultimate.

Indeed!
I also thought of CSM. But he meets a somewhat sorry end, so Q it is.

A being from an immortal, omnipotent, super-corporeal race of people in Star Trek: the Next Generation. Q shows up to meddle in things, occasionally from sadistic curiosity, occasionally because he just happens to be in the Enterprise's neighborhood. He's not a villain per se, but his careless disregard for all mortal races causes all sorts of trouble for the mortals and the Enterprise specifically, especially if there's something in it for him. Think Loki.

Oh, heheh, I thought you were talking about that sweet old funny guy from James Bond with all the gadgets - I supposed he could make an excellent villain if he turned to the dark side with all those gadgets, but then I found the lack of explanation a little odd...

That's a good question, I have to consider that.
Q's a good call, although I'd argue that he wasn't a villain, but just an antagonist. Maybe it's an overly intellectualized argument, but I never thought of Q as expressly villainous.
