Tex's Birthday Contest!!!

I want to make sure everyone, including posters that can't visit as regularly as they'd like, to have a shot at some of the goodies this go around.

So I toss the gauntlet to all of you on suggestions for this contest. I'd like to have more than one category. There'll certainly be enough stuff for more than one option.

I'll keep the suggestion box open for a few weeks, let everyone get a chance for input.

And please, the more the merrier. As you saw from last time, the winners were not all the "usual suspects". Anyone and everyone has a great chance.

Please let me hear your thoughts!

James, would you mind giving this a temp sticky?

Done. :)
It has to be somethign everyone can participate. The caption contest is always a blast.

I'm up for anything just as long as we all agree that whatever it is I win. :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Tons of choices available to be honest, the caption contest has been mentioned already.
Other choices include a Trivia Quiz or a Where Is This From-kinda contest, with say, either a picture or a quote from one of the games, and so on.

This could all be done in various difficulty levels, of course.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
They don't call him FREE pizza for nothing. j/k

I agree with Cub - the caption contests provided a lot of humor and creativity.

Also, we once had a writing contest through which we were VERY entertained. If I'm not mistaken, AC himself judged that one.

I agree with all the suggestions here, and would like to add perhaps a painting/drawing sort of section (which, ironically, I am not good at, and would not participate in this one) but I think there are some others at this group that would enjoy that.
Hey pizza man BACK OFF!!! You already own the holy grail!!!! :P

I agree with everyone else about captioning contests being cool, but how about a slight varation for the folks that can't post as often? Have an individual upload thier own pic and caption. That would make it unique.

Definitely need a potpourri section.
(WTF I've been doing a paper dictionary search on the word above for the last 5 minutes. Who put a f'ing worthless T in that word???)
Later!
I agree with Jen - I think uploading our own picture and caption would be Jawsome - also, I think an anagram contest would be suitable - come up with a series of Tex related anagrams, varying in difficulty levels, and see who guesses the most :D The answers would have to be turned in individually via PM to UnderAKillingMoonPoster. Any thoughts on this?

I'd thought of the anagram thing, too. It would be exceptionally Tex-like. Anything that reminds us of the puzzles in the games would be neat.

Reminds me of Capricorn on the Alcatraz site.
Here's a couple of ideas. . .

1. Best new menu item at the Brew and Stew

2. Best new product at the Electronics Shop

3. Best headline in the Bay City Mirror
